I believe that my video matches to the right movements on screen for example when Jerry gets prodded with a fork the doing noise comes on when it is happening. The same with my other various sounds to matching my clips.
I also thought the bedding track in the background works with the violin and the orchestra. The sound effects I recorded were the screams when the cat bites his tail and when Jerry was being burnt by the candle. Also when Jerry lands on the butter the sound of relief comes on. I also recorded when Jerry get prodded by a fork and when Jerry slurps the soup and blows it in Tom's face. I recorded all of these on an MP3 player/ Voice recorder.
The sounds I got off the internet were the voice of the cat when talking to Tom, the telephone ringing, the bedding track, cork pulling and dipping the tail of the cat in the glass of champagne. I got these online because they were the few sound effects I could find so I found the easiest to find first then hopeful the ones I couldn't find or were not the right sounding noise I would create myself.
Overall I am happy with Tom and Jerry clip as the sound works with all the clips that I have because they all work. Also at parts the bedding tracks works with the clips. But if I could chane somethings is to have more sounds to go with my clip and if I had more time edit the bedding track to video a lot more because it doesn't match at times.

recording SFX's
Footsteps
For grassy - use newspaper in a plastic grocery bag and softly tapped the bag.
Rain
Rain may be recorded as salt falling on a piece of tinfoil.
A punch
A broomstick whacked really hard and flat onto a couch or mattress makes a great beefing-up component for a body hit. Other purely impact sounds: kick drum, fist-pound on closet door (tapered), car door slam (tapered), kicked or stick-hit cardboard box, leather belt snap, whip crack, etc.
Bacon frying
The realistic sound of bacon frying is the crumpling of cellophane.
Horses hooves
Half coconuts and clap them together

1. Why do you think we use SFX's in Film and TV productions?
We use SFX in TV and film production because it makes the clip seem more realistic and add to the sound quality.
2. What are the advantages of using SFX's in TV and film productions? What do they add to the overall production?
It makes the clip more realistic. Makes it sound like it is real. They enhance the sound quality. With many objects you make a sound effect such as peas dropping on tin sounds like rain. SFX's make the show better.
3. What are disadvantages of using SFX's in TV and film productions?
Sometimes the SFX's may be over emphasized. Sometimes the sound recorded make not sound right.
4. What is the job description of a foley artist?
Foley artists look to recreate the realistic ambient sound that the film portrays. The props and sets of a film do not react the same way acoustically as their real life counterparts. Foley sounds are used to enhance the auditory experience of the movie. Foley can also be used to cover up unwanted sounds captured on the set of a movie during filming that might take away from the scene at hand, such as overflying airplanes or passing traffic.

review of sound production
After filming both attempts we believe we have successfully improved upon our sound production assignment. We also got rid of all the background noise and any interference's.
Evaluation
After re-filming our sound track production we tried to reduce the background noise while we were recording as the first time we tried to film 3 different locations such as indoor loud, indoor quiet and Outside. We chose to film in a classroom for both indoor loud and quiet and by the plane on the steps for the outside for the first attempt while filming outside we had several problems firstly we had alot of wind going on in the background. There was also people talking and walking in the background and cars going past in the background. To get rid of this we used time mics and this did work.
The second location we filmed at was indoor quiet in the classroom there was not really anything that was a problem apart from people typing on the keyboards or people squeaking there chairs. Another problem was the presenters were too far away. To resolve this we told people to stop what they were doing while were filming this did work and filmed closer to the camera.
The third and final location was indoor loud in the classroom for the first attempt we had a lot of problems such as we had people walking in-front of the camera and throwing objects in front of the camera. Also there were people talking in the background and the presenters could not be heard. Another problem was the was music in background and again the presenters could not be heard.
